I don’t really know why, but Alzheimer’s touches me deeply, even though no one in my family has ever had it. The Father, which is in my Letterboxd top 4, shows exactly why this subject affects me so much: memory, fragile and precious, and that mix of fear and fascination when you see someone forgetting parts of their life.
