I’m such a sucker for mildly realistic dystopian films, movies that make you think of what could come for our future. This definitely had a lot of inspiration pulled from 1984. I really liked how V stayed mysterious the entire time and how the made him an entity instead of a person. It was a really different take on a character. I felt that the prison part of the film is where it dragged the most though, it was a bit meh. Also some of the writing for Vs character was a tad goofy, it kind of subtracted from his aura. I also felt like there were a few too may storylines we were following like the detective, V, Evey and others. It felt like there really was no true person we were following through the story. Excluding V and his backstory, I wish there were some more explanations on how the world came to be the way it was, they give glimpses but I wish there was more concrete explanations. It’s solid over and now I will remember the 5th of November and also rewatch this film.
