There’s moments, few & far between. And also a whole lot of weirdness.
I liked the basic idea & what they were going for but it never felt like there were any stakes to what was happening.

Lot of drama packed in to a misfire horror film. On paper, you got The Haunting of Hill House at a cabin with a creepy mannequin. Well, throw in some soap opera, Santa's village, and a confused monster mythology. Now make the mannequin be named Morty and really take every opportunity to make him goofier than the wooden injun in Creepshow 2.

Light nostalgia and, honestly, not insufferable. Just not fun-bad or all that effective.
