Disney, oh man! I went into this film completely blind and I'm so glad that's not literal because this film was one of the most gorgeous and appealing I've ever seen. The rich color schemes paired with the fluid and rich animation go so perfectly with the all time great soundtrack. This being made in 1940 is absolutely absurd to me, I almost refuse to believe it. This is almost as ahead of its time as 2001: A Space Odyssey was for 1968. There's obviously a weak structure and low character depth, but that is not the focus of the film. It is an artistic masterclass that is a touchstone for ever animated film that came after it, and it is really, really good.
