This film had potential, but it's just a bit lacklustre. Russell Crowe was great, and Ralph Ineson did an excellent job as Asmodeus' voice. I understand that acting like you're possessed is hard, but Peter DeSouza-Feighoney overracted quite a lot and it ruined the effect of the great demon voice. The VFX was really good though, as well as the score. The plot started off interesting, but by the third act it was losing momentum rapidly and the ending wasn't very impactful.
On the whole, The Pope's Exorcist was pretty average, and I hope the sequel improves on the weak areas.
