Watching cringe Christmas movies with my mom season
People from the US really have a fantasy about coming to Europe and finding a European who falls in love with them in a day and preferably also gives them a castle.
The one good thing about this movie: normalising older people finding love because the protagonists are not all 20-something models

OHHHHH YOU TAKE THE HIGH ROAD AND ILL TAKE THE LOW ROAD AND ILL BE IN SCOTLAND AFORE YE!!!!!!!
I have to admit that this is my 3rd time watching this movie and I kinda love it everytime. It’s so cringe and there’s horrible montages and Cary Elwes sounds like he’s doing a Shrek impression but also there’s sweaters and a dog and a group of delightful knitters and….well….Scottish Cary Elwes (yes I just made fun of his fake accent but hey what’s a girl to do? It’s CARY ELWES!!!)
