holy shit. this makes me sick in the stomach, in a good way tho. really disturbing. it feels so voyeuristic, as if you're actually in the same situation with two real people interact. the way this film reflects on abusive relationship, and codependent mundanity. the chicken farm scene perfectly shows the brutality of abuse, which almost felt inhuman. the depiction is so horrifying yet realistic. the atmosphere and aesthetic, the greenish, contrasty colour felt surreal and haunting, making you fully immersed in the film. the ending is truly disturbing one. as you sit through and watching the woman slowly suffocated and ceases to death. an impressive experimental film but definitely had an unpleasant experience watching this. it definitely had more substances than your generic japanese torture porn.
