Surprisingly enough one of the more interesting plots of a Mae West pictures, possibly motivated by the limitations of the Hays code. Her character actually has more of an arc and moves a bit beyond the usual flirtatious quip machine we've become used to. In a filmography where most of the films feel a little samey, this does feel like a breath of fresh air.
