As many others have pointed out, in terms of filmmaking it's pretty standard and doesn't do anything particularly new, but the story is so amazing that I can't let myself rate it any lower.
I'm czech myself and seeing this part of history be made into a film was very nice to see. And I don't cry a lot when watching films, but I couldn't stop crying during the last sequence. Anthony Hopkins's performance was probably unsurprisingly perfect, it made the film hit that much harder.
