This is one of those movies that I knew I would love and, what a shock, I was right, I'm typically pretty great at watching movies I know I'll enjoy in some way.
Sean Baker's most recent feature, Red Rocket reminds me that I have to rewatch The Florida Project and find where to watch Tangerine, because this was emaculate, funny, cringy, and my kind of charcatee stidy, of complete assholes who you cant but help watch. Seriously, Simon Rex's performance, alongside Suzanna Son's was one of the most underappreciated performances of the decade as soft yet.
This was an incredible time, looking at 2016 America in a way that feels nostalgic and not fish-baity, the characters are understandable, and this contains some of the best song choices for an film I've seen recently. Truly a wonder.
