I love Jackie Chan. I really do I was raised by his cinema but I never thought I would see him in a historical biopic role. There was one scene that felt like Jackie but the rest felt very tame or part of the history channel. The war footage just felt stock and the ending being very political meant he had to drop the Chinese communists party which I knew was gonna happen at some point.

This really should have been a TV show, way too much happening way too fast that you can't keep up. It succeeded in making me interested in the Chinese Revolution and the time period, but didn't really succeed in educating. The Western actors were very bad.
