i remember watching this in theaters and here i am still hoping they make a second installment almost 15 years later.

the found footage style of film will always be a personal favorite of mine. this is one of the more “human” explorations of super abilities. it’s a tragic coming-of-age story about the fragility of human nature when faced with unlimited power. i like to think that this film paved the way for more grounded, character-driven takes on superhuman narratives like Brightburn and Project Power. this film was simply ahead of its time 🙂‍↕️

Chronicle isn’t a bad movie at all but it just never had me fully hooked. I usually love anything related to superheroes but this one didn’t give me that moment where I felt emotionally invested or really connected to the characters. The concept was cool and the pacing was solid but it didn’t pull me in the way I expected. The standout for sure was Michael B. Jordan his acting was amazing and easily the most engaging part of the movie. Overall good idea and great performance but it just didn’t capture me.

it was such a very dramatic approach that I hoped not to be intense but seen a desperate move from him that made me stare at my wall for a couple of minutes as it wasn't just single strike but an act of desperation. How I'd wish to at least see them both have their life settled after a tremendous night that made themselves uncontrollable especially with their potentials and skills.

Oh, Andrew, I know his act was out of rage but you'll never seen it as an opportunity as he experienced so much traumas and unfair treatments.
