A Rape-and-revenge x slasher mashup that fails in both aspects. Bill Leslie and Terry Lofton had $50,000 and a dream but the result is a slow, boring and dreadful nightmare.
My biggest problem with this film is the killer's voice because it sounds so cartoony. I appreciate that the film went against the silent killer archetype that was prevalent at the time, but its execution wasn't perfect.
All the characters are forgettable mostly because they are killed off almost immediately they are introduced. But also because the little time we spend with them aren't engaging at all.
The only good things about this film are its salacious scenes which offer the only bits of humor in the film. Otherwise this is a very dry film. Neither funny nor scary.
I understand that this is a low budget film but that isn't even the cause of its problems. Most of the problems in this film stem from the poor script. There have been many low budget slashers that were really good, for example Doom Asylum ($90,000) and Evil Laugh.
