Magda, a piano teacher, meets Knud, a parson’s son, who invites her to spend the summer at his parents’ parsonage. When a travelling circus stops in the village, Magda leaves the meek Knud for the dashing circus rider Rudolf. But circus life with Rudolf quickly turns out to be anything but happy, and Magda comes to a tragic end.

I wonder what everyone's reaction in the theater was during that erotic dance scene.

**One Year One Film (1/116) **For my first silent film, I definitely liked this more than I expected. It’s a simple love triangle story, but done really nicely for an old film. Since there isn’t any sound to begin with, we have to understand the story through the actors’ movements and emotions. So, the over-the-top expressions actually add a lot more feels and depth for the watch. And I was also informed that Asta Nielsen (together with that erotic dance scene) was somewhat of a wonder in its time, and I totally get it. Me and my homies would’ve been a glazer back in the 1910s. Really great, just watch out for the jumpscare at the end.

This was a really cool watch, but very freaky for 1910 lmao. The dance scene was crazy💀
