Sundance 2021 Viewing 2 (of a finite number)
Harry and Lloyd get Rabies
A fascinating in a horrifying, can't look away, overload, sort of way. A pure escalation of bad taste shot starting with implied fecal consumption in a uniquely handheld, very documentarian perspective. Imagine the lovechild of Greasy Strangler, Jay Bauman, Tim Heidecker, and It's Always Sunny, but after several huffs of paint. It's a disconnected, demented ride that will leave you almost guaranteed to love or loathe it... The characters are pure agents of chaos, seemingly purely acting on instinct, and perverting everything as they go. Once you think it's gone as dark as you think it's willing to toe the line on, it'll do a front flip across that one and the next three.
Again, I think there will be very few "neutral" ratings for this one, it's destined for controversy.
While looking for tickets, I noticed that it appears to be one of the lesser purchased tickets... Hopefully some early buzz can get going for this, I can easily see it becoming a (very demented) cult classic.
