Day #13 of a film a day. 

I feel like my take away is very surface level and basic. This is the path we have put ourselves on with our over use of AI. 
I know there’s more there. The burden of trying to survive in ate stage capitalism. The deterioration of modern food. The misrepresentation and manipulation of artists of colour. And much more. It’s late and I’m tired. I really love the movie. 
I love the scene transitions with the paintings. I love the design of the Vuvv. The music was really good and so was the sound design, especially the Vuvv language.

First time rewatching this in one sitting since I first saw it in theaters, before this I had seen it maybe 3 times in separate viewings. It’s one of those movies that says so much it’s really saying nothing. Plus there are technical errors all over the place, some feel intentional for God’s sake! That said, the cinematography is good at times, Asante Blackk, Kylie Rogers and Tiffany Haddish’s performances are all around amazing, and the score is genuinely one of the best ever put to film since Interstellar. I can see why I liked this movie 2 years ago, but through a new lens I get the criticism.
