The Lady
I got chills every time I watch this.
I hope Daw Aung San Suu Kyi stays healthy. And also hope our people get the freedom we deserve soon.

"Please use your liberty to promote ours."

15 years house arrest is history.
The "leader" but your freedom is awful.

The Lady
Today is Martyrs' Day in Burma.

Okay, so The Lady would be the perfect film to watch on this day. Michelle Yeoh… omg!!! You are AMAZING. She speaks Burmese better than most of the actual Burmese actors in the film, seriously. Probably because they cast some cheap local actors.

I noticed that they misunderstood some historical events and got a few things wrong, but, I still appreciate that they tried their best to portray the wonderful mother of Burma. Whenever I see Aung San Suu Kyi on screen, I feel terrible about how she's being treated by that mtfking military rn. And whenever I see that bastard Ne Win, I just wanna punch the screen.

May freedom find you soon, Aung San Suu Kyi <3
