The title is exactly what the film is centered around. Love is eternal in the heart and if true will never fade no matter what. The beautiful cinematography and feeling of longing through its themes and vibe give it a Wong Kar-wai feel that makes this so pleasing to watch. I will say compared to films like fallen angels I felt the story was more engaging even if the script was a little cheesy at times. However my biggest grip with the film was purely the fact I disliked the ending as it felt so idiotic that these characters would put themselves into a position of a standoff that the most likely had no chance of surviving. Even if the ending plays into the idea that these characters can never escape the consequences of the past, I still hated that they basically gave up their happy ending for nothing. Idk though maybe I’m missing something but that was the only thing holding it back for me.
