slasher films are my favourite movies ever: just due to their simplicity, but this movie was a rollercoaster of feelings.
i definitely think it’s just very middle of the road, i don’t love it or hate it. it’s kinda an oddball and is atleast different to a lot of its peers, and i love the ominous darker setting but i just feel this movie just doesn’t particularly interest me: home invasion, to me, is only really good in very special conditions but i thought this was kinda eh. the idea of a group of teens tormenting their teachers house, and then that teacher seeks revenge of them is a fun idea but i think this slasher just moves too slow, and some of the characters are truly awful (which i think they’re supposed to be hated but yk) this has felt majorly mean spirited, which doesn’t really change my opinion much but it’s a bit jarring with things i’ve watched recently, on a traditional sense this film isn’t good, but for it is i think i had a bit of fun..? i was debating with the 2.5-3 rating so the rating is totally open to change but the last 20 minutes are fun, plus for slasher it had a unique concept.

Dickens definitely had a crush on jon jon. This is honestly such a great film. I did some research on Christopher Stryker and found out he died of AIDS before hell high was even released. He was also in a broadway play of Torch Song Trilogy. He was so great in this film and i just know he would've had a long & successful career. RIP king
