This is without a doubt one of the most moving films I have watched recently. I was crying very hard at the end, the whole story is just so immensely sad and tragic. The casting of Sadie Sink was perfect if you ask me. She and Fraser acted very well.
However, personally I would have liked it if the message (and some other details) of the movie would have been a bit more clear/obvious. Right now I can't really say what the precise point of the movie is. Is the point that it hopes to achieve that the viewer sympathises with morbidly obese people? Or is the point that Charlie still won't do anything about his problem, meaning that he dies and thus continues to not be present in his daughter's life while he should have done otherwise? Or is the point to show how hopeless his life was and that dying was the only possible way for him to reconnect with his daughter? I'm not really sure. I can understand why some people wouldn't like this.
