A beautiful lonely girl named Melissa tries to make new friends from a town she's currently living in. The only problem is, each of the boys that she spends time with end up brutally murdered. Her sixteenth birthday is on the way, but Melissa turns out to be a suspect when it seems she's the last person who has seen her boyfriends alive.

This was incredible!
Idk why this movie is severely underlooked but i personally didn't expect anything from it and i was proved wrong. So intense and very up-to-date. I was very impressed by how they dealt with the main subject of this movie. Sexual abuse and women having to deal with the constant sexualization inflicted by men is not something that i was expecting to see in a cheap 80s slasher, and they made it a much more focal point when the mother got revealed to be the killer.
The mother and daughter's situation go in parallel. The mom went through a bigger trauma when she was a kid and, from what we've seen at that party, she also had to deal with men constantly treating her like a sexual object and so when she sees herself in her daughter who also has to go through that, she snaps and kills everyone that could possibly cause that trauma to her. We love a mother avenging herself and her daughter by killing (mostly) horrible men! How iconic is that?!
I was really hoping the killler turned out to be her because i was afraid that we would get into some boring ex-bf storyline, but they really went through with it and i think the message is really clear. Stop treating women like objects because the trauma you inflict on them will get you killed one day and that will be all on you!
Another very interesting relationship Melissa and Marci's. i gotta confess i didnt fully fpcus on the film but i have my reasonings for it. it was so goddamn boring and dragging. this "slasher?" is trying very bad to recreate or just be the original Hallowen movie, which looks just really bad in this case. i was confused for the whole time and im still no really sure what is up with this.

Overall a very average 80s slasher with some weird moments but I do think is worth the watch the only thing i didn’t really like was the fact that some time the characters can suffer from being anger at one moment and then a split second later not be anger and it can be weird but it’s worth the watch if you like slashers.
