Intrusion - Literally “Beautiful Shit”
Intrusion is a movie released in 2021, it’s about a married couple, but the woman (Neema - Freida Parsons) starts noticing weird things/behavior with her husband (Henry - Logan Marshall-Green)
I did not like, or enjoy this movie for multiple reasons. First of all, it’s very predictable. Even the dialogue is predictable, I guess tons of lines. Plus most audiences, critics, and me guessed the plot “twist” right at the start. There are also pretty bad characters, like Neema. She is illogical, finds out clues too quickly, which damages the pacing & runtime of movie.
This is not memorable in the slightest, I literally forgot what I saw 2 minutes ago. The dialogue is heavily unnatural, and writing is thinner than a sheet of paper. The story of the movie is incredibly basic, which does NOT help it’s originality.
Although, reason I called it beautiful shit, is because it’s a horrible movie, but it’s beautifully shot & colored. It’s rather blue-coded in the way it’s color graded. And it has some beautiful shots of New Mexico.
Overall? It’s a thin movie, which fails in practice, and execution. And it even fails as entertainment, but beautiful? Absolutely. Not recommended
