Tries for an empowerment narrative for Barbara Crampton's character, but the actual narrative doesn't really seem to want to give things enough of a serious bite to make her more than "Jakob's Wife". Fessenden and Crampton give good performances but the inconsistent direction and occasionally rough FX work really distract at times.
PS. I cannot believe Crampton is 62, she is looking remarkable. Is the verdict out on whether or not she's a Highlander like Keanu?
