This was actually good! The characters and dialogue felt so real except for miss blue hair.
Fully assigned an extra star for the ending! I was so excited to see them accept the impermanence of their relationship and respectfully and lovingly break up!

Okay… a part of me wasn’t even gonna log this cause I’m embarrassed, BUT HEY A TRANS GIRL HAS TO WATCH A LITTLE CRINGEY ASS ROMCOM SOMETIMES, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE LEADING GIRL IS IN FACT A T-GIRL!!!!!!!!! This movie was a mess, it pissed me off at a lot of points, and the ending is so… bleh, but I had fun.

"You are the easiest thing to love in this world." -Trans coming of age romance I LOVED this. Gen z based media is mostly a hit or miss with me because of the writing/dialogue of our portrayal but I thought this was pretty good representation. Some of the minor points like a whole school rally was a bit silly but overall it felt really down to earth and realistic. Kelsa's conversations and rundowns about being trans were SO on point on her little blog. Like yeah not everything's about gender UNTIL it's about you, ugh. And then all the tedious struggles of people knowing your past self but new people not knowing your full story. Khalid's honest love for Kelse was so refreshing and it was painful to watch them argue. Also Kelse's relationship with her mom??? It made me want to cry with how much the mom loved and supported her. Very cute and refreshing.
