Ghost pirates coming out of the fog? You had me at ghost pirates.

John Carpenter always has a level of camp, but this one is especially campy, in a very fun way. I was not ever genuinely scared during this watch, but I was smiling throughout it. His score is fantastic, and underscores some of the film's tenser moments. He has an eye for moments and images that genuinely stick with you, and the way he chooses to shoot the fog underscored by his own synth is just fantastic.

Also, Jamie Lee Curtis got a chance to act with her mom and I love that for her.

Rythme et montage horrible ( tous les plans sont 3 secondes trop longs ), histoire rendue sans interet et constamment exposée à voix haute, personnages insipide et plus mou que de raison, le mixage son est fainéant et la musique de Carpenter est une musique banale de films d'exorcisme qui n'a rien à faire là
