Swan Song
❝Who could forget the Liberace of Sandusky?❞
∘₊──── • ♧ • ✧ • ♧ • ────₊∘

Swan Song made me cry myself into a massive headache. It's the beautiful story of a once-celebrated hairdresser looking back on his past and finding closure. And it's incredibly raw and real, perhaps because of the camerawork, as it made the film feel almost like a documentary, but also maybe because the interactions between Pat and the people he came across were so well-written. Everywhere he went, he was unapologetically himself, and that was recognised and reciprocated by everyone. His journey is incredible; when we first meet him, we see a very much deflated version of him in the nursing home, and it's a joy to see him slowly come to life. And even though the bar was being sold, he got to learn how much impact he had on the town. Udo Kier was absolutely fantastic as Pat, and may I say looked fabulous in the green suit and purple hat. He is truly the soul of this film, and I highly recommend giving it a watch.

pat ..... i may be a 19 year old lesbian but i get you we are the same i understand you ... jokes aside the acting is so phenemonal ive been crying for more than an hour. the color usage is wonderful the dialogs are so human like pat... every look he gave to the camera every fucking emotion i felt them in my bones wow this was such a great film i need to see it drunk and cry more . i thought five stars would be too much but tbh i dont know where to cut them 5 stars it is
