i have a few new projects i’ll be starting this year.. i’ll be keeping track on if what i watch passes the bechdel test; and if they contain cats, dogs, or both. i noticed a surprisingly large amount of friendly felines last year and im curious on how often they actually are pop up.. and on who pops up more because there was like no dogs in anything it was weird. ok thanks for reading
simple little sci-fi romcom? does a competent job telling the story aswell as conveying its message. the acting was solid all around but dan stevens was moving on a whole nother level, he continues to blow me away and this was a perfect role for him.. he has a good agent. this just didn’t fully connect with me emotionally nor comedically which sucks. part of it was definitely it being in german.. and i think another big factor was just that theres been a bunch of other robot love stories that i have already seen so this just felt kinda redundant and there weren’t any themes to ponder.
i picked a difficult one for my first bechdel test because the specific scene i can think of that would confidently be a pass would be from the robot the main woman was intended to be dating was also the female therapist consultant lady that had a deeper dialogue with her about her feelings and stuff.. so idk 😅 there was also another scene that was about relationships and the concept of a man but not an actual man and i’m not really sure if that counts yet but i’ll figure it out
