❝Never look back, Lawrence. Never look back. The past is a wilderness of horrors.❞

While I love a nice monster horror film, and while I see what the director was going for, The Wolfman unfortunately missed the mark by quite a bit. It has all the makings of greatness, like an interesting premise and good actors, but the plot was executed in the dullest way possible; the VFX also wasn't the best, but I really liked the costumes and sets. I did appreciate Anthony Hopkins going all in for his performance, and Benicio del Toro did pretty good too (what the hell was that bowl cut though 😭), but Emily Blunt was so underutilised. I don't think I'll be watching this film again outside of Spooktober, but it was worth it to see Benicio dripped the fuck out.
