Before Sunset directed by Richard Linklater is another masterpiece added on into this trilogy. This film is just as good even a bit better than the first one, we see what happened nine years after Jesse and Celine’s perfect night in Vienna and it was honestly not what i expected at all and even in this film we are left on a unsure cliffhanger. This film is beautifully written and every single conversation flows so smoothly and Ethan Hawke (Jessie) and Julie Delpy (Celine) chemistry is so perfect and the conversations, topics, and the questions they ask are so thought provoking and really have you thinking about life as a whole. This film is shot so peacefully with it mainly just being the two walking around Paris and it’s funny and entertaining the whole time through. The final scene with Celine singing the song was so beautiful and sad because we know the two characters have deep feelings for each other except they both “moved on” so there’s not much they can do. I honestly think these movies are the best romance movies i’ve ever seen and i have yet to be proven wrong and i cant wait to watch the 3rd one.
