One of the things I love most about The Killer is the insane level of attention to detail, especially when it comes to the hitman himself. Everything about the way he operates feels deliberate and controlled. He sticks to his routines, stays calm and calculated under pressure, and is always thinking a few steps ahead while covering his tracks. I really liked how he can instantly read people and situations, and how his inner narration constantly reinforces his personal rules. No empathy, stay focused on the task, and never let politics, flags, or emotions interfere with the job. It really pulls you into his mindset and makes the character feel cold, methodical, and believable.
Another huge highlight for me is the cinematography. The film looks incredible, especially with all the different countries he travels to, each one feeling distinct and carefully framed. The close-up shots of him analyzing his surroundings while narrating are some of my favorite moments in the movie. When he’s trying to stay stealthy, the camera focuses on small details and subtle movements, which adds a lot of tension. There are so many absolutely phenomenal shots throughout the film, and knowing this same cinematographer is working on The Batman Part II just makes me even more excited.
