I was not expecting to be full weeping on this beautiful Monday but here I am.
As someone who has lost someone very close to me, this film almost perfectly encapsulated what it was like trying to heal from that.It brought back memories i had buried so deep it was almost frightening. It’s literally just the sitting in the silence endlessly. In a time where you should feel so void of connection and you go somewhere by yourself and just listen for an eternity that you find yourself discovering that connection in places where there should be no connection at all.
It’s the running your hands through the water and dirt. Watch the water ripple. It’s the whispering to ghosts…sitting and waiting for the rain to fall.
I’ve been avoiding it but fck it, I’m gonna visit my Lola’s grave today.
