Mary and John shine together, so cute together
This became one of my biggest dreams and at the same time a nightmare. Imagine a coat falling on your head, and after that you get a hat, lose your job, stay in an imperial suite at Louis Hotel, find your boyfriend, wear beautiful clothes, and get two big cute dogs. Omg such a chaotic screwball comedy. Jean Arthur is literally the definition of delight. Her voice is amazing and cute. Her face is beauty and brights up with immense gleam. She puts so much energy and vivacity into her performances. And the way this film just was one chaos after the other was so funny. Honestly an amazing film!

It’s as silly as I’ll get out, but hysterical and has some good laughs. And I’m sure for 1930s audiences it was fun to see someone go from rags to riches and a rich man go poor in a flash.
The scene where Jean & Ray try and turn on the elephant bath was great. And the automat. just a fun fun series of events.
Also, Jean Arthur’s voice is gORGEOUS. That lil rasp and ever so innocent. Love.
