to be honest, for about half the film, all i could think was “This was made by Gaspar Noé?? where is all the sex and the violence and the gore and insanity?” but then i realized how this made me feel: hopeless, miserable, so afraid of life and how it is going to end. it’s disgustingly realistic and painfully bleak, not once do you feel good while watching.
i was wrong, this is right up his alley.
