not a bad movie at all but would have been 10x better if it weren't packaged with the baggage of being a prequel to an already-iconic film. like why are we doing all of this again. suffers from the prequelitis of like we know every single element of this is pointless because i know how it ends, so what's the point of caring? why are we just dully remaking the original with half of the subtext and interesting themes?
also i yelled "there's gonna be a baby in that dryer" and there was in fact a baby in that dryer
