❝My point is to make cooking easy for people so that they can enjoy it and do it. It should be, and is, I think, everybody's pleasure. I think you should have no fear of cooking. That's terribly important, that you must be a fearless cook. And the more you learn how to cook, the easier it is and the more fun it is.❞

Julia Child was a true treasure, and the world is a worse place without her infectious laughter and kindheartedness. Julia delves into her life, career success and legacy, and it's impossible to not love her. Her relationship with Paul was beautiful, especially considering that period of time, and I hope I find something even remotely similar to their commitment and adoration for each other. This documentary is absolutely heartwarming and charming, just like Julia herself, and I'd highly recommend giving it a watch if you're a big foodie.

What I loved most about 'Julia' was that every single person who speaks in this film speaks with love. Whether they knew her directly, casually, or just a fan, the way they speak about her goes well beyond admiration and respect; they loved her. They loved what she did, how she did it and who she was - warts and all. And that positively shines on the screen. Like Julia herself, this film feels comforting and warm. And much like cooking shows of today, you don't have to like or practice cooking to enjoy this film - 'Julia' is a beautiful tale about a remarkable woman who fought for women's reproductive rights and AIDS research who taught us to be fearless, that no mistake is unfixable, and of course taught America to cook. Bon appétit.
