I don't know what this movie was really going for. It came before the time of making purposefully bad movies, but some of the choices kind of lean into that. The acting is pretty awful (not all of it, but most of it), the effects are terrible (credit to them for the amount of gore, but it all looks bad), and the story is little more than a series of kills (some kind of creative at least). I think it's supposed to be funny, but none of the humor really worked for me. This feels like a more polished Polonia Brothers movie. Although, at least the Polonia's could capture sound effectively. There is one scene where the wife clearly doesn't have a (working) mic and is too far from the boom and all her dialog is way too quiet, so without the subtitles, I'd have missed it all. At times, it feels like we are about to slip into cheesy 80's porn, with the score, color grading, and transitions. But, we never get past uncomfortable make-out scenes, one where an old man joins the wife in the shower, but they accidentally catch his underwear waistband in frame, meaning this freak showers in his underpants and pink cowboy hat.
