The movie is basically grief rehearsing humanity and forgetting its lines.
Would definitely hire them to play my replacement.

I need to crawl inside yorgos lanthimos’ mind to figure out exactly how he thought of this concept. it feels like a bizzare “cure” to loneliness and not just loneliness caused by grief but also due to lack of human connection. the fact we never learn their real names or any intimate details of their life is proof of it.
