“we try again.”
had a really cool premise but just never seems to find it’s footing which is unfortunate
i think the twist reveal is kind of cool in one sense but ultimately very deflating in others. the idea of a primordial evil that man has always had to contend with is so fun, but turning it into a story of mankind’s penchant for survival is just not what it needs to be.
good performances from chuku modu and safia oakley-green and i like the use of language in the movie.
would love to see this revisited with a better plot or more attention to an actual monster. i think prehistoric horror is a very untouched genre and i will always at least try something that ventures into the unknown, even when it fails.
