This was an absolute banger of a movie, frosty being a father figure to jay was so heartwarming. Loved that this was a true story but the ending was so tragic, I love surfing bro

Childhood classic. It introduced me to surf/skate culture, taught me what a stroke was, and made me obsess over the name Frosty. I didn’t realize how many of my mental images of certain settings and scenes came from this film. Seeing it again a few days before turning the age he died gives it a different weight. Even so, it holds up pretty well with its exquisite stunts, lighting, and camera work.
