Watched for a class assignment
Animation and visual wise, amazing. It uses porcelain very well as its main material. Another great piece of Chilean animation. But it does definitely need prior research into the real person the film focuses on before watching. Very dark and bleak.

After learning about the individual who inspired this short film, I find myself genuinely nauseated. The Academy Award-winning short “Bestia” draws inspiration from the life of the infamous Nazi torturer for Pinochet’s US-backed regime, Olderöck Bernhard, notorious for her horrific use of rape involving dogs. There are evils in this world so unimaginable yet rendered utterly trivial by those in power. No justice was served for the victims of this brutal regime. Moreover, the United States, whose support persisted throughout his reign, was not held accountable in any way. Frankly, the US deserves far worse then what lies ahead.
