it took me about four hours to actually watch this because i kept pausing the movie to text a girl about mads mikkelsen

Went into this with super high expectations and let’s just say that I was pretty let down on this one. I had heard so much hype around Chinatown but it definitely didn’t live up to it. It’s pretty slow and drawn out, the acting was kind of subpar, besides Jack Nicholson. The romance was even a bit flat overall. It just fell flat for me which really sucks because I thought this one was gonna be a banger. My expectations definitely drove this rating down a bit as well. It’s just kind of average. I don’t need to rewatch this
