If I had watched this when it came out I would have been genuinely traumatised. I did not like any of this I could barely tell what was happening bc I didn’t know who was who (not my fault they kept reusing actors). Also I feel asleep in the last 10mins

A tale of a whorish man, a witch’s revenge, and a corrupt royal family surrounded by all aesthetics of a gothic fantasy. It’s down-right tragic.

Could’ve been increasingly better had the soundtrack not sounded like one singular lame violin piece playing over and over at any mysterious point. Not to mention, it was just not as captivating as I wish it was..

Everybody is talking about Barbara Steele but I’m thinking about my girl Halina Zalewska. She truly made this movie for me. I especially loved her in the last scene of the film, 

“The fire of vengeance. Burn the way my mother did.”
