After witnessing a brutal massacre, the legendary hero Sartana is ready to do some investigating. Almost everyone in the tiny town of Indian Creek seems eager to buy up the property left behind by the murder victims, and one of them could well be behind the killings. The sheriff himself is not above suspicion, so Sartana must uncover the culprit all on his own.

Have a Good Funeral, My Friend… Sartana Will Pay
The fourth official Sartana, and while Garko is back, I feel like this might be the weakest yet.

Not enough sweat, stubble, dirt, or staredowns. This feels more like an easy-going gentleman thief crime-drama dressed up as a western, rather than a full-fledged spaghetti western.

The blonde mustache made Sartana look like a cocaine addict.

Have a Good Funeral, My Friend… Sartana Will Pay
1970 | Western

“Buon funerale, amigos!… paga Sartana” is the fourth Sartana film and marks the return of Gianni Garko after he didn’t play the titular role in the last film.

I’d say it’s the best one since the first, but it’s still not great. The plot is more or less the same as in the other films, but there is more fun stuff in this. And it’s not as boring and uninteresting as the last one.

I had to watch this in the german dubbed version and let me tell you, the guy who was in charge of the dub had a field day. He went all out. This was literally the wildest dub I’ve ever heard. I don’t even know how to describe it, but it was so nonsensical and strange. I don’t know if that made the film better or worse, probably both.
