This murder mystery was different and actually pretty good. The gangs became the detectives and the judges because the police were useless and I found that kind of original, it’s almost like a version of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Definitely give this bad Larry a watch if you haven’t. The acting is also pretty good in this one, the killer really did a pretty good job in it. I liked this one quite a bit but yeah it is quite slow and all in German.

Filmtok 52 Week Watch Challenge 2023 - Week 10 - A German Film

One of the problems I find whenever I watch an older film is that it can make me lose focus very easily. That was a problem with this one.

There is no doubt that this is a great 1930s thriller that was way ahead of its time. Very glad I could have an excuse to watch this for the 52 Week Watch Challenge.

I really love old horror movies (yes, I need to watch more), and even though this was more of a murder mystery, it was very thrilling. Would definitely recommend.
