The Avatar series is in a class of its own when it comes to movie magic. You sit down for three hours (hopefully in IMAX 3D) and are teleported into this beautiful, inspiring, complex world.

It’s hard to even describe just how visually stunning this is. Every scene has such extreme attention to detail. You feel like you are actively participating in the story the way the character, scenery, and elements pop out from the screen and into your mind. There’s one scene in particular involving the sun that is actually absurd how cool it was to watch.

The movies only pitfall is that the story isn’t particularly compelling. It’s just the same story as the first two. It plays on plenty of historical, societal, and cultural themes and allows the viewer to draw their own interpretations of the story. But it’s just not particularly new or interesting as a story.

Is this worth watching, 1,000,000%

101 thoughts. Firstly, you gotta be drunk to watch this movie. It's fucking amazing drunk. 
But it feels like an ist. I don't know what that ist it is. reductionist? Is it anti-native nativist? Is it colonialist? Is it racist? I couldn’t imagine being a aboriginal / indigenous and watching this movie. You just feels like there are motives in the movie that have an imperial twinge. 
I don't know how to simplify it into a coherent idea that can be conveyed in text. It feels like there will be a hour long YouTube essays to discuss and dissect. What what is at the core of this movie? 
Acting wise? Pretty good. Pretty damn good. 
Visual effects are amazing, but story wise, it is so stupid. It is... repetitive and moronic. It just keeps going on and on about the same fucking things. 
It's anti capitalist, and very, very pro conservation, and... you know, stopping colonialism. But it's just so stupid. So fucking stupid.
I feel bad for the actor playing spider. 
You gotta be drunk to watch this movie, and for the 4th one…
The 1st one, I watched when I was a child. The 2nd one I watched incredibly high. The 3rd one I watched very drunk.
