The sequel to this Turkish comedy just made it onto the IMDB top 250, so I'm watching them both. But this original felt painfully unfunny to me. Comedy is subjective of course, and jokes are one of the hardest things to transfer across languages. Still, this film has almost no story worth following. A bunch of adult looking guys playing schoolboys do a lot of pranks and cheat their way through school while a new Vice Principal tries to get them to behave. And that's the whole film. Just didn't work for me.
Also, I watched on Youtube, and I'm not sure if it's the transfer of film to digital, or if it was just filmed poorly, but there's a really annoying warp that happens every few seconds. I don't think it was shot particularly well to begin with, but it's made more frustrating by looking like it's on Warp Stabilizer in every shot.
