hot take, this deserves way more love and recognition than it gets. i went to watch this in theaters when it first came out and it was pretty entertaining but the theater was virtually empty, maybe that’s just where i live. i can see how people feel like it is boring but i watch studio ghibli films pretty actively and this gave me the same feel, so it wasn’t necessarily boring to me. it very loosely reminds me of that zack snyder animated series: twighlight of the gods.
