I read that Tarantino loves this movie, and that makes so much sense.
Only watch this film if you’re interested in…
- badass independent Black women
- Klansmen and/or police looking dopey and (accurately) inept
- the previously mentioned chasing each other on motorcycles
While at times the film falters in execution, the concept and absurdity of it all is brilliant. It’ll never happen, but I think a modern Tarantino remake would garner a five star review from me.

Its wall to wall, & totally over the top. The costume/production design is insane and the tone is both slapstick and cutting. Now if only the “icecream” vendor was real I could for a pot-sicle.
