First Time Watch*!
I don't know what lunatic thinks this is either a horror or a slasher but it isn't. It's barely a thriller. It's Giallo by Disney.
Not a moment of actual tension exists and what little bit of maybe heightened attention certainly doesn't need to be interrupted by the weird mother in law drama subplot. Nor the absolute ridiculous reveal of the killer which is better suited for an Ace Ventura sequel.
If this could at all be considered a slasher or a horror, then it's one made for the elderly whose hearts cannot take a jolt less it strike them dead.
2 stars for Roy Scheider.
*apparently I watched this movie a decade ago and had ZERO memory of its existence or that I had even laid eyes on it. I stumbled on it on Prime and put it on purely because Roy Scheider was in it.
