Easily one of my favorite zombie flicks. Only topped by a small handful. Some of the acting is off and there’s definitely an element of cheese, but overall this movie is very fun.

really just an all-timer. if night is about the first collapse of civilization and dawn is about our futile attempts to keep it afloat, day is about rejecting humanity altogether. fuck it. live on an island. refuse to put up with this shit. tell the children to never look at the records.

actual jumpscare when the copy of salem's lot they have is the exact one i just bought a few days ago. what the actual fuck. also loved the little sting of dawn mall music they have lmaoo!! glad to revisit this, george you're amazing

so weird to say this got me kinda emotional, idk why but the talk Sarah and John have about the meaning of everything and trying to make sense of the world they are living in (being a zombie apocalypse) and the why things happen and reason.
The life they lived before that is over, they need to enjoy the time they have now and stop dwelling on things that may never have an answer to them. idk that just really resonated with me so hard.
besides that, the movie was beautiful, i loved the soundtrack and the look of this so much. 
Granted the movie takes place in an underground bunker so its mostly white walls and a few caves but the way the zombies look, a bit goofy but still so amazing how this was done practically.
The gore and the dismemberment is something to marvel at especially at the end scenes when things really rile up.
I am happy to have watched this finally, a new favorite of mine and something i cant recommend enough. Its more then just a zombie film, it has your zombies who eat flesh and etc and etc, but i love when it focuses on the people and the psyche of the people experiencing this.
